DWS, the asset‑management subsidiary of Deutsche Bank, rebranded itself as Deutsche Asset Management in order to improve its visibility and appeal to international clients globally.
In an interview, new manager Christoph Schmidt of DWS’s Concept Kaldemorgen fund outlined a strategic shift: reducing chip stock exposure, forecasting a gold rally, and noting that trust in hyperscalers (large cloud providers) is back after the previous manager’s exit.
DWS achieved a new high in assets under management by gathering €24.8 billion of fresh funds in Q2 2024, but its earnings fell despite the strong inflows.
