Nyrstar Eyes Germanium Production at Stolberg Refinery to Reduce European Reliance on China
Nyrstar’s CEO Guido Janssen announced that the company’s lead refinery in Stolberg could produce germanium and antimony, which would allow it to meet roughly a quarter of Europe’s germanium needs and lessen reliance on Chinese supplies, although a definitive commitment is still pending.
