Uber Technologies Inc. is in advanced talks to acquire German food-delivery company Delivery Hero SE in a potential major consolidation within the European food delivery market.

Uber Technologies has increased its ownership stake in Delivery Hero SE to 36.83% by purchasing shares from Aspex Management, as the American ride-hailing company pursues a full acquisition of the German food-delivery platform.
